As a Compensation & Benefits Apprentice, you’ll support the day-to-day running of our reward and benefits programmes while working towards a recognised HR qualification. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about payroll, benefits, wellbeing and data reporting all while contributing to a dynamic People team. You will report into the Compensation & Benefits Manager and work with Finance and external partners to ensure Red Bull UK employees receive a competitive and seamless reward experience
This role offers a unique opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow within a high-energy, people-focused team. You will gain a strong grounding in the core aspects of business and management, understand the environment and the context surrounding the business’ operations.
Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you'll achieve a BA honors degree in Business Management, complemented by accreditation from the Chartered Manager Institute (CMI).

🟢 Responsibilities
- Compensation
- Support the team in the administration and coordination of compensation programmes, including base salary, variable pay, and annual review processes.
- Assist with salary benchmarking and market analysis to help ensure pay structures remain competitive and aligned with company objectives.
- Help prepare materials and communications for annual compensation reviews and bonus cycles.
- Collaborate with People Business Partners to provide data and insights that support fair and consistent pay decisions.
- Learn to interpret compensation policies and contribute to maintaining compliance with relevant laws and reporting requirements (e.g., gender pay reporting, equal pay audits).
- Liaise with HQ to understand the global compensation approach and support local implementation.
- Benefits
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programmes, including health insurance, pension, wellbeing and company car schemes.
- Deliver the monthly benefits inductions for new starters.
- Help manage relationships with benefits vendors and insurance providers, ensuring accurate data and employee enrolment.
- Respond to employee queries related to benefits, ensuring timely and accurate support.
- Monitor local benefits trends and provide input on potential improvements to enhance employee experience.
- Support with ensuring all benefits programmes are compliant with legal and company requirements and remain within budget.
- Payroll & Compliance
- Work alongside the Payroll, Insights & HRIS Specialist to support accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Help reconcile payroll data, check employee information, and maintain confidentiality and compliance with tax and employment laws.
- Assist in preparing reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment and tax legislation relevant to compensation and benefits.
- Process Improvement & Systems
- Work with the business and the Compensation & Benefits Manager to support the maintenance and continuous improvement of HR and payroll systems, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.
- Contribute to reviewing and simplifying processes to improve employee experience and operational effectiveness.
- Help prepare training materials and documentation for People Business Partners and managers on payroll and benefits topics.
- Support international mobility processes, including coordination with HQ and local teams for smooth employee transitions.
- Audit
- Help organise and update employee files, checking that all necessary documents are signed and filed correctly (e.g. contracts, right-to-work, performance reviews).
- Assist with data accuracy checks in HR systems, ensuring information matches physical or digital records.
- Support the HR team in gathering and formatting documentation requested by auditors (e.g. training records, benefit summaries, policy copies).
- Update tracking spreadsheets for audit progress, outstanding actions, or missing documents.
- Learn about compliance requirements and help spot inconsistencies or missing information under supervision.
- Prepare folders or digital files for easy access during the audit.
