In CDT, our objective is to provide world-class consumer experiences that drive brand and business growth – while doing so in the most efficient and sustainable way. We’ve built five global capability engines supported by a MarTech Transformation Office to scale outcomes, drive consistency, and leverage tools that help markets and brands deliver more impact with less spend.

📝 About the Role: Social Media Technology Executive

This role sits within the Scaled Reach Engine, focused on building best-in-class capabilities and operating models in media, retail media, social and earned media. Using data and tech to drive efficiency and effectiveness across Diageo’s $1bn+ media investment.

The Social Media Technology Executive supports product delivery, technical integration and governance across social and influencer platforms. You’ll be the key bridge between marketing and tech, ensuring our tools are scalable, secure and effective across global teams.

🎯 Purpose of the Role

To serve as the business-technology bridge for Diageo’s social and influencer marketing – enabling scalable, secure and data-aware product rollouts that meet marketing needs while aligning to our global tech and compliance standards.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Definition

  • Gather and refine business needs from marketing, legal, compliance and platform teams
  • Translate those needs into clear technical and functional requirements
  • Maintain documentation and support roadmap development

2. Technical Enablement

  • Act as SME for global social and influencer tools
  • Contribute to tools like DMC AI, prompt libraries, metadata tagging, etc

3. Multi-Functional Interface

  • Coordinate with internal D&T, DA&I, security, and vendors
  • Lead platform testing, access and compliance integration

4. Documentation, Testing & Change Readiness

  • Create user journey flows, integration diagrams and test cases
  • Support UAT and change management for new rollouts

🎓 To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need:

  • 5–7 years in Martech, product delivery, or tech/data integration roles
  • Working knowledge of APIs and social platforms
  • Experience with tools like Sprinklr, Dynatrace or Trackr
  • Understanding of native social media capabilities
  • Strong collaboration with tech, data science and compliance teams
  • Excellent documentation, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable translating business needs into tech solutions
  • Awareness of alcohol-specific advertising compliance
