๐ฅ OVERVIEW:
We're seeking a Merchandise Planner to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract. This an extremely exciting opportunity to join our Merchandising team, contributing and executing category strategy, planning and investments to optimise sales, margin and stock.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Thinking strategically and making suggestions for how the merchandising strategy can be optimised for your category
- Delivering detailed, timely and accurate merchandise analysis that informs and affects future strategy
- Supporting our pricing strategy with the Global Product Management team. Providing consistent, detailed and informative analysis to ensure our pricing is suitable for our product assortment, brand and most importantly our customer
- Building and owning the merchandise category planning in WSSI's and supporting tools, revaluating inputs and forecast outlook vs budgets and ensuring accuracy to the highest degree possible
- Having a very good understanding of the competitive landscape across regions specific to your owned categories
- Good understanding of competitive landscape across regions
- Taking ownership of your seasonal product assortment and investments through thorough forecasting to align to option and buy targets
- Manage the stock profile of your responsible categories, ensuring product lifecycles are managed well to optimise stock options and reduce terminal stock through considered discounting and other means
- Deliver weekly and seasonal trade reviews, delivering an appropriate level of analysis, sharing of performance and being reactive in your planning.
- Demonstrating comprehensive capabilities in managing core product inventory managing using line flows to manage sales forecast, stock and intake to protect best sellers.
- Owning the weekly and seasonal trade reviews for your categories, delivering an appropriate level of analysis, sharing of performance and being reactive in your planning
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Essential Criteria:
- Comfortable dealing with large excel spreadsheets, summarising information and pulling out the key takeaways and recommendations.
- Able to easily recognise data/sale trends and draw up the necessary conclusions for future actions.
- Ability to adapt to new reporting & planning tools quickly, all with the view to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
- Analytical, data literate and commercially minded
- Able to work alone towards your personal objectives, but also as a team towards the larger team objectives
- Be naturally time conscious and KPI driven to attain deadlines.
- High attention to detail and time management
- Multiple years experience working within an apparel/fashion based merchandising team
- Confident and compelling presenter of business information
- Experience working in a D2C ecommerce fashion/apparel business
Please note: This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
