⚪️ About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing & Communications Executive to join The National Stud team to develop and deliver a cohesive marketing and communications strategy that enhances The National Stud’s profile and deepens engagement with clients, breeders, and industry partners. This role ensures that all client communications, digital activity, and brand interactions reflect the Stud’s professionalism, heritage, and commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining strong relationships with ownership groups and supporting the Bloodstock and Sales teams to drive growth and reputation across all channels.

🟡 About The National Stud  

The National Stud is based in the heart of Newmarket, nestled between the Rowley Mile and July Racecourses. Part of the Jockey Club Group we offer industry-leading stud services and boarding for mares, young stock, and spellers. Our stallions reside in the historic Duke of Roxburghe Stallion Unit, while over 100 thoroughbred foals are born each year in our Foaling Unit. The Education team run a full programme of courses ranging from entry level to management, with full and part time options available for all. Public and private tours are available to book through our tourism partner Discover Newmarket.

🟢 The Marketing Executive will be responsible for the following areas -

·  Client Communications Coordinate and deliver timely client updates and content throughout the breeding season, including communications for ownership groups such as the NSL Breeders Club.
·  Digital & Brand Management Oversee all digital activation, including social media and website content, ensuring consistency with The National Stud’s brand and tone.
·  Marketing & Collateral Manage production of marketing materials, including merchandise, brochures, and the annual stud brochure, maintaining up-to-date brand assets and photography.
·  Events & Partnerships Plan and coordinate public events, hospitality, and collaborations with partners and stakeholders including The Jockey Club Group, Discover Newmarket, and media outlets.
·  Reporting & Budgeting Manage the marketing budget, report monthly on PR and digital KPIs, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and organisational values

🔵 About you

  • Deep understanding of the Thoroughbred racing and breeding industry, including knowledge of The National Stud’s stallions and their market positions. (if you don't have this still apply and outline how you'll quickly develop your understanding)
  • Proven track record in marketing, communications, or client relationship management within the equine or related sectors.
  • Confident managing social media channels, websites, and digital content schedules.
  • Skilled in CRM systems, website management, and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Exceptional communicator with sharp writing skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player who builds strong relationships across departments and stakeholders.
  • Proactive, driven, and comfortable working independently to deliver shared goals
