Marketing Executive

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing Executive to join our Small Course Team. The role would be based at Carlisle Racecourse focusing on achieving budgeted volume and revenue through the development and execution of local racecourse and fixture marketing plans for Carlisle whilst also providing marketing support for Market Rasen Racecourse.

🟢 For Carlisle Racecourse, The Marketing Executive will

• Drive volume and revenue and own the development of local rracecourse and fixture specific marketing strategies and plans covering all commercial lines, admissions, and Conference & Events.  
• Own the development of fixture specific marketing spend plans, adopting small course themes and innovation to optimise ROI locally.
• With guidance from the Digital marketing team ensure that the local racecourse website and app platforms stay fresh by updating content and customer journeys.  
• In partnership with the national CRM, drive and develop local racecourse E Comms.
• Produce and post multi-platform social media content for use on local racecourse channels.
• Execute Carlisle Racecourse communications in line with the wider small course teams.
• Partner with the Groups Sales Manager to proactively source new groups locally.
• Partner with the local Operations Manager to book and coordinate entertainment/theming with supplier’s from set up to breakdown.
• Manage allocated budgets ensuring spend is monitored and recorded in accordance with The Jockey Club procurement policy.  
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of both racing and non-racing events locally.
• Work all racedays at Carlisle Racecourse throughout the year with responsibilities including social media content and marketing initiatives.

For Market Rasen Racecourse, The Marketing Executive will

• Work closely with the Senior Marketing Executive based at Market Rasen providing support including but not limited to:
  • Produce and post multi-platform social media content on Market Rasen channels.
  • Complete marketing related administration tasks such as purchase ordering and website amendments for Market Rasen Racecourse.
  • Submit briefs for Market Rasen Racecourse E-comms.

🔵 About you

• Understand all key areas of the marketing mix including proposition, development, media planning and digital marketing execution.  
• Previous experience in a marketing role.
• Effective communicator capable of building relationships and influencing a wide range of stakeholders.
• Up to date with current marketing techniques and industry news and an interest in Social Media content.
