Warner Bros. Discovery’s global technology organization sits at the intersection of tech, entertainment, and everyday utility. Our platform covers everything from search, catalog, and video transcoding to personalization, global subscriptions, and more. As a pure tech organization, we are essential to Warner Bros. Discovery’s continued growth, building world-class products on our streaming platforms Max and discovery+.
Delivering one of the largest and most iconic content libraries in streaming to millions of consumers around the globe is no easy feat. It requires high levels of collaboration, a willingness to take risks, and a passion to tackle some of the most complex technical challenges.
At Warner Bros. Discovery, we cultivate an environment for our employees to thrive—whether it’s building all our tech from scratch to continuously innovate, working at the exciting pace of a startup, or utilizing our flexible working hours to enhance collaboration with teams worldwide. We think big and hire people who do the same: technologists who love owning a problem, creating elegant solutions, and trying, failing, learning, and trying again because that’s how we truly build the future.
In terms of languages, we speak a little bit of everything: Swift 5/Swift UI, Kotlin, Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Ruby, Vue.js, React, Brightscript, GraphQL on AWS container-based and serverless stacks.
We expose early-career engineers to a wide range of projects to help them identify their interests. We then pair them with various senior engineers so they can learn from a mix of experiences. Attributes we look for in all our hires across the team are ownership, leadership, and curiosity—always asking “why.”
In addition to building great products and creating some of the best content in the world, we’ve built a great team and culture! Our program offers unique experiences with tremendous opportunities for growth. Our engineers are some of the most talented in the industry and are excited to mentor and learn from our interns. You’ll have the opportunity to help deliver impactful, customer-facing projects and test your theories on the newest technologies while learning from seasoned pros.
Projects may include building APIs, SVOD streaming applications, commerce integrations, designing products to prioritize security, and improving payment services.
You’ll get an opportunity to consider scale, resiliency, and how to make your features production-ready. We expose early-career engineers to various projects to help them explore their interests and pair them with senior engineers to benefit from diverse experiences.
Previous interns have started making improvements to our production environments within the first two weeks of joining the team. Ultimately, the projects you work on will depend on your areas of interest.
In addition to academic qualifications, we seek interns who are always curious and eager to learn. You’ll need great attention to detail, agility, and scope.
We look for engineers who are meticulous about operational and engineering excellence and take pride in understanding and owning features from design to production. Logging and testing are built in throughout the journey.
Balance is important to us; we work hard, but it’s also important to maintain a good sense of humor and have fun while doing great work!
Requirements: Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment required if selected) and graduating between Winter 2025 and Spring 2027. Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates presently authorized to work in the country where this role is posted.

We hope these resonate with you and look forward to discussing them in your interview.
