🔭 About us
The Science & Innovation Park (SIP) is currently home to 35,000 objects from the Science Museum Group (SMG) Collection and the Science Museum’s world-class Library and Archive.
Alongside museum storage facilities, this 545-acre multipurpose site is made up of large open areas, native woodlands, runways and one of the UK’s largest solar farms. SIP also hosts research and development projects in collaboration between the Science Museum Group, science, engineering and film industries and academia.
We are now recruiting for a Project Coordinator to support the Projects team with the coordination and delivery of these projects on-site.
💡 About the role
As Project Coordinator, you will report to the Head of Projects and will ensure communication channels with relevant stakeholders are managed efficiently, all contractor documentation (including insurance, licenses and permits) are coordinated, and meetings are administered effectively. You will also co-ordinate effective financial and administration management of projects through their full life cycle.
⭐️ About you

You will be comfortable communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders, including senior stakeholders, subject specialists, and contractors. You will be coordinating multiple projects and streams of work simultaneously, so will be able to multitask and prioritise. Some working knowledge of financial processes, systems and spreadsheets will be helpful.

Joining us as an employee, you will have the opportunity to develop your career in a world-class museum group. We know work/life balance and wellbeing is crucial to our colleagues, so we offer up to 25 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays; a support with personal and professional development; employee assistance programme; enhanced contributory pension; and enhanced support for things that happen in life such as parental and adoption leave, sickness and career breaks.
‘Open for All’ is one of the Science Museum Group’s five core values and sets out our important aspiration to be a place for everyone. As a national museum group, we have an ability to reach a wide and diverse population of audiences, colleagues and partners through our geography and scale.
We are working hard to understand our organisation better and to foster a culture that recognises and values different backgrounds, mindsets, skills, experience, knowledge and expertise. By having greater diversity, we believe that we will be a stronger and better organisation and ultimately will be able to inspire more futures. We therefore welcome applications from those who bring difference.
