🎓 Your New Role…
The Finance Placement Interns will support the Warner Bros. Discovery Finance teams with day-to-day tasks, including financial reports, forecasts, data analysis, cashflow reviews, and other ad-hoc tasks.
📋 Your Role Accountabilities…
Reporting Setup & Support: Assist in the setup and roll-forward for reports supporting the month-end and quarterly forecast cycles.
Month-End Close: Support month-end close activities, including validations, Cost Centre analysis, and management reporting.
Calendar Maintenance: Manage the department calendar, tracking monthly and forecast/budget tasks and milestones to ensure compliance with Group reporting timetables.
Forecast Consolidation: Assist with consolidation of management information from the submitted Opco forecast models (e.g., risks and opportunities, capital expenditure).
Data Load Management: Oversee forecast data load (DPL) and validation in SAP and the WB global overhead planning tool (GPP).
Reporting Template Support: Help create and maintain SAP BW reporting templates for management information needs.
Ad Hoc Analysis: Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as needed by Business Partners or the Executive Director, Management Reporting, and assist in group management reporting.
Cashflow Review & Forecasting: Support cashflow review, forecasting, and consolidation processes.
Title Code Compliance: Run monthly reports, review for compliance with required naming conventions, and maintain communication for MPM (title codes) processes.
📚 Qualifications & Experience…
Education Requirement: Current University student in 2nd year, seeking a 3rd-year placement, graduating no earlier than July 2027.
Skills: Highly numerate with strong attention to detail, good written presentation skills, and a working knowledge of Excel.
Interest in Finance: A keen interest in math and finance.
Organized & Disciplined: Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
Initiative: Confident, self-motivated, able to demonstrate initiative, and work independently.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate professionally with individuals at all levels.
Power BI: Exposure to Power BI would be beneficial.
💼 The Internship…
Salary: £25,000 p/a
Contract Length: 12 months
Start Date: 30th June 2025
Experience: Hands-on experience working on business-critical projects.

🌐 Hybrid Working
This role follows a Hybrid work model, combining remote and in-office work as per our current company policy, in agreement with your Line Manager. WBD or your Line Manager reserves the right to adjust this working arrangement as essential to business needs, with reasonable notice.
